The Life Enrichment Director will develop, implement, and maintain Delta at Crossroads Memory Care through continuous improvement of services provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing a therapeutic environment for residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia
- Develops/Organizes several small, engaging and stimulating activities each day for residents to participate
- Organizes one large event per month
- Plans specific family-oriented holiday events
- Works with residents with an awareness of dignity and individuality, with understanding and concern
- Assists Resident Services Director in Residents medical needs
- Assists with creating Individual Service Plans for residents
- Checks and follows guidelines for all residents in accordance with Federal, State, and local guidelines
- Follows the Policies and Procedure Manual, including policies on lifting in emergencies
- Demonstrates understanding of care terminology and·equipment
- Aids residents in all facets of daily living
- Supports residents and family of resident’s dignity and rights
- Responsible for creating and posting activities calendar
- Working in company systems to track activities and attendance
- Coordinates with Marketing to create and promote internal and external marketing opportunities
- Manages Memory Care staff
- Providing support, direction, and feedback to staff
- Works with Executive Director and Resident Services Director with staffing, training, discipline, and termination of employees
- Maintains and manages Memory care budget
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Work experience in a senior living community preferred
- Passionate about working in an elderly community with exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, third-party healthcare providers and elderly residents
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen and hear
- Medium physical strength required to perform work
Pay: $60,000/annually based on experience
