Activities Director/Life Enrichment Program Director

Crossroads at Lakewood is a memory care facility looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Life Enrichment Program Director to join our team. The Life Enrichment Program Director is responsible for developing purposeful, and engaging activities for our residents that fosters all areas of wellness including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement creative and exciting Life Enrichment Programs to meet the individual needs and interests of residents
  • Ensure the daily, weekly, and monthly community calendar is up to date, and meets the requirements of the community
  • Ensure promotional and communication materials are of a professional quality
  • Ensure that Life Enrichment programs meet all state regulations
  • Provide feedback to the management team regarding residents’ quality of life
  • Manages community contracts with vendors and entertainers
  • Responds appropriately to resident emergencies, calling or contacting appropriate internal and external parties according to established protocols
  • Manages department budget and oversees activities assistant

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in life enrichment, activities coordinator, and/or event management
  • Minimum 1 year management experience
  • Effective and succinct communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must have compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
  • Dementia certified preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, grasp, handle, kneel, pull, push, stoop, squat, twist and transfer
  • Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds as needed
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 per year based on experience

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • College degree preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years Senior Living Experience
  • 2 years Management Experience
